Brunchnista and I go way back. Like beyond 10 years of knowing each other "way back". We are Sorors (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated) and even once belonged to the same chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incoprorated, in Brooklyn, New York). Through a dear friend, Michelle (aka Brunchnista) and I became well-acquainted. When she took her love of fashion and food to Instagram, I became an instantaneous fan. Brunchnista, Michelle's brand, in her own words, "... is the concept of brunch as more than a merger of meals, but as a behavior. 'Brunch isn’t confined to one table,' Michelle clarifies. 'I can brunch with different sets of friends all day Sunday. It’s about great food, laughs and connection'" (Brunchnista). I love food! No. I love GOOD food. I love fashion. So seeing Miss Michelle bring the two together just makes me happy. She asks questions about different kinds of food but also shows of her sense of fashion while also talking about why waffles are amazing and what breakfast food would you do away with. Everyone loves food whether it is breakfast, lunch or brunch so she is bringing people together over food which is the perfect thing to do! Find out more about her below! Bon appetit! - Bean

What is your favorite food? Why?
My favorite food is tacos- I love Mexican food for its color and flavor. Tacos are bite-sized and flavorful and I can eat a lot of them without feeling guilty.
What is your favorite color? Why?
Pink to me; it symbolizes femininity and Fun! It’s such a calming yet flirty color; it always lifts my spirit whenever I see it.
On a scale of meh to ahh how much do you like food?
Ahhhhhhh!! Definitely. I love food. When I think about all my favorite celebrations in life they all had two things food and friends. Life is sweeter with both.
What is your favorite catchphrase?
“We only step out, to show out” [which] means - if you’re going to go out, make sure you bring your A-game which means clothes, shoes, hair and of course most important- a great attitude.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cheesecake. I love the fact that is not too sweet and it has a little bit of tartness.

What came first: the chicken or the egg?
Ummmm the chicken- someone had to lay the egg right?
Last question: how are you planning on making a positive impact during this time?
I have been trying to keep a positive attitude and make the most of the moments I’m able to have with my loved ones. I’m also advocating for Black Lives by donating and calling state representatives to bring justice to those who have been reckless with the lives of our brothers and sisters. I also continue to provide some positive images and words to my followers on my platform Brunchnista as a bit of positivity, so that we can all find some joy in the midst of all this.
